Nosaj Thing in the Undergound (for a fiver)
If you showed after 11pm then you waited at least an hour to get downstairs. If you were the Monarch, you bounced. Bad decision. The wait was worth every second. The last time I saw so many smiling faces after a show was at Skream & Benga @ Wrongbar. Nosaj Thing did not disappoint. 30 joints were fired up outside the Drake @ 2am when he got off, and while the vibe was amazing throughout, the crowd probably went off hardest when MY MAN HENRI dropped Joker’s Tron immediately after Nosaj Thing got off the decks. Nosaj was tweaking out for about an hour and a half, and everyone loved it. 200 hyped up fans cheering at every break, and screaming woots in between glitched-out hi-fi magic deep in the Drake Underground made for a night that those present wont forget any time soon. Without a doubt this was one of the best sets of the year. Welcome to Toronto Jason. Come back anytime.
AC Slater in the Underground
The BASSment bounced with a big line-up. AC Slater tore up the underground taking full advantage of the small room and intimate vibe to appeal to a crowd that wanted nothing but the bass.
