French-American songstress Ariane has a new single out called “Sweatshirt” that is both sexy and gritty, while still having a touch of vulnerability throughout. The track paints a picture of a lustful love affair gone wrong and the struggle of letting go afterwards. Ariane’s top line is a silky smooth vocal that floats perfectly over the gritty synth bass. “This song is about a toxic relationship; the kind where you know you should let go but you still hold onto the fantasies and the objects left behind,” she says. “I think most of us have been in that uncomfortable place at least once in our lives.”
