IF you aren’t aware, XI aka Ultragamma has been holding down the bass scene in Toronto for a while now. His production has shifted from Dubstep to what could be described as Two-Step, Garage or as B.Smiley puts it “Intelligent Bass Music”. I’ve always praised him for being a forward thinking artist in pursuit of more than simply being the hottest out there. XI strikes me as someone on a quest to find something greater than the accepted, something exceptional.
