Best of 2012: Singles

Happy New Year’s everyone!!! To mark the culmination of an extraordinarily fruitful year for electronic music, me and my good pal DJ Philippe collaborated on an exclusive Salacious mix. Consisting of my picks for the top 20 singles of the year, this mix is arranged in order of stylistic flow, NOT ranking. While almost all of the tracks included are electronic in nature, Frank Ocean‘s ‘channel ORANGE’ centrepiece “Pyramids” and Usher‘s  “Climax”, although R&B, made my list simply because they are fantastic songs. Furthermore, there is a wide range of electronic sub-genres featured throughout; I tried to incorporate the best in as many different styles as possible. You will find an assortment of house, techno, trap,  synth-pop, garage, and trance.  I hope that you will find this mix enjoyable and appropriately representative of electronic music in 2012.

Party hard tonight all you crazy people! With this mix as your soundtrack, celebrate music, friends, family, and being alive to see 2013 😉
