OWSLA, confirmed as Sonny Moore’s new imprint record label will feature a hard-hitting roaster by the likes of KOAN, Alvin Risk, The M Machine, and Porter Robinson. OWSLA is named after a military caste of rabbits in the legendarily intense 1970s children’s fantasy novel written by Richard Adams entitled, Watership Down. Skrillex’s production company will be manned by his manager Tim Smith, as well as Biz 3 Publicity owner Kathryn Frazier and publicist Clayton Blaha. The label’s first releases will be from Bristol, U.K.-based post-dubstep producer Koan Sound, North Carolina electro-house upstart Porter Robinson, D.C.-based singer/songwriter Alvin Risk, and San Francisco progressive-house mavens M Machine (formerly Metropolis). Speculations on if Zedd – who took part in the OWSLA Summer tour 2011 – will also be included in the label are still unconfirmed. Let’s hope he is part of the family! Down below you will find a series of dark promotional video teasers that Sonny has launched via Spin Magazine hyping his upcoming label.
