There’s an odd / fun trend in deep house right now, with very classic samples (typically 50s or older) dubbed, with a breakdown comprised of a 10-30 second section of the song the sample is from. I haven’t had a lot of luck with these tracks in the club, but that might just be execution – they are a bit kitchy, without a doubt, but I think its a fun feel and can really change the mood on a floor from serious-dance-face-and-beat-up-that-beat-fist-pumping to the lighter, more beach friendly jumpy-faking-being-able-to-break-too-hard-whitemandance that can sometimes scare the girls away.
