As far as electronic music trios go I really can’t think of any big ones off the top of my head. There was Swedish House Mafia (RIP), Krewella (RIP in pieces), Pendulum (RIPped heh heh into Knife Party), Dash Berlin (only one guy tours so do they really count?), and Nero. Maybe its time to add Autograf to that list as they’ve just passed the coveted 50K Facebook likes mark with have over 70K SoundCloud followers to boot and if you listen to their music you’ll definitely know why. Self-describing their music as “future house for the future summer” their latest remix, an edit of Alesso’s ‘Cool’, sees them whip up many of the common Autograf elements that we’ve come to know and love. With tropical and chill elements this record is most definitely tailored for the summer, the clean breaks, smooth vocal edits, and simple drum machine led percussion kicks scream minimalist production done cleanly and effectively and the refusal to overcomplicate the track with tons of edits also shows a marked maturity from a trio who have been practicing and honing their craft for sometime now. I’m no Vegas man but odds are this track will make an appearance at at least one of the summer parties you may find yourself at so don’t be afraid to flex your musical knowledge of the trio (and the distinct lack thereof in the rest of the electronic music world).
