It’s been a good six months since BADBADNOTGOOD has released any new material, so I was super excited when they announced that they were finally dropping a new track off their upcoming album, III. This track, CS60, takes a much more cinematic and darker approach compared to their usual jazz/hip-hop inspired tracks, which I’m totally okay with. There are several intense buildups throughout the track, followed by drops that really took me by surprise the first time I listened. This element of surprise is one of the reasons why I enjoy this track so much. It goes against what you’d expect to happen—switching up the style, pace and atmosphere of the track—which is really refreshing.

There is no set release date for their new album yet, but I’m hoping it’s soon.
