Josh Tillman, also known as Father John Misty, just wrote an original score to The History of Caves, a short film directed by his wife, Emma Tillman. All the songs, although short, are thoughtful and beautiful with a very sombre vibe that makes it the perfect accompaniment to a rainy weekend. There are repeated elements throughout the album that link songs together, like the moody chord progression at the end of Finish Those Cigarettes & Go To Bed and the beginning of Of Course I Live With Them. This gives the album a continuous flow, making it really nice to listen to from start to finish.

You can download the movie on iTunes and stream part of the score below. For the full stream, you’ll have to head to Sub Pop’s private link.
