CHVRCHES (it’s a Latin “v”) is an indielectro/synth-pop trio from Scotland that’s currently blowing up on the Internet after recently received fifth place in the BBC Sound of 2013 list, an impressive feat for a band that has yet to even release an EP. They have quite a unique sound; lead singer Lauren Mayberry’s voice is a combination of innocence and optimism that lends itself perfectly to the upbeat electro beat engineered by the producer of the group, Iain Cook. The song itself was released in September, but I hadn’t heard it, and it’s kinda awesome. Keep an eye out for this group, they’re going to be a sensation.
