Torro Torro has really done it again with this classic sounding vocal dub remix of Jully Black’s late 2009 single Running. The track isn’t a big step up in terms of production – the Toronto duo already has that shit on lock, and has been pumping out high quality tracks for the last long while. I do however think that it marks a discernible maturation from an all-bangers attitude to a much more funky style, evident throughout the track especially in the vinyl-brakes which are no doubt a direct influence from the guys’ strong hip hop sensibilities.
