If there’s one unwaivering certainty in this world it’s that nothing is quite as tacky as Calgary, Alberta.  I grew up here. so I feel a certain entitlement to criticize this wasteland of suburbs and tacky ass bars.  When I flew in today I peered out my window and felt just a little sick looking at the vast sprawling developments of cookie cutter townhouses.

This is a great track from 2006 by an artist called Grovesnor. I’ve heard only a limited selection of his music, but he makes pretty enjoyable disco house/synth pop stuff.  It looks like he does some shows occasionally too, so maybe you can catch him live.
