I’ve always been a sucker for that 80s throwback synthpop/indie dance typa tune and this new one by LA based duo Room8 made up of Ezra Reich and Nic Johns is definitely one to write home about. The second track from their forthcoming EP features the vocals of Polina and just conjures up every visual image I have of the movie Drive and driving through the darkened streets of LA late at night. Passionate and emotion-filled, Polina’s vocals take us to another dimension as we continue on our way down the Pacific Coast Highway. This definitely isn’t the most coherent thing I’ve ever written but that’s because I’m busy behind the wheel of my imaginary car.
