(One of my favorite Kanye tracks of all time, Amazing Vid)

Retro-mixing is a term I believe I am coining. It means remixing a modern track to take it back to an earlier flow or style. These remixes generally involve taking songs that with modern synths and putting them over seemingly retro instrumentation. For example taking Kanye’s Good Life and making it a funky track to vibe too with a great melody, fun drums and a sweet guitar riff. Or adding a nice disco OO sound to Beyonce and keelping the drums simple. These two songs were initially club bangers, but with Siik’s treatment of the material they are laid back funky jams to groove to!
