I had the opportunity to hit up Breaks, Beats, & Culture last weekend, and see a host of fantastic (and free) shows on their stage. The Heavy, who I started following a couple years back after a show at Lee’s Palace with the Elastocitizens. They’re a sick blend of bluesy rock, with funk, soul, and hard rock undertones. The only thing that’s truly heavy about these guys though is how badass their tunes are.
