New York folk group The Seeds You Sow has entered the music scene with a splash. Their debut release “High Horse,” from their upcoming EP, showcases the band’s unique folk sound. The Seeds You Sow takes cues from the gothic stylings of Florence & The Machine, and is lyrically influenced by musical story tellers like Johnny Cash. In “High Horse,” an eerie baseline supports vocals that explore power and revenge. “lyrics and meaning are purposefully ambiguous, as the goal is to have listeners interpret the story however they like,” says The Seeds You Sow. With one strong release now already under their belt, and more to come with their EP, The Seeds You Sow is definitely an act music fans should keep their eye on.
