I’ve been feeling these two tracks on French producer Joakim’s latest EP, Heartbeats. The title track is so well composed it would make Kavinsky jealous, and the contrasting vocal elements from 1:05 onward give the production an undeniably experimental tone tie the whole package together beautifully. Another Light is more “classic” in nature and uses chords marvelously, playing off of deep keys and delicate percussion to create an entirely unique style of progression.
