It wasn’t easy – to say the least – snagging an interview with Dan & Joe, but here we are at last! November has arrived and MOvember has taken hold of all the manly faces. All shapes and sizes of staches our raising awareness for Prostate Cancer around the globe. To show my support, im vowing 50cents for each “like” accumulated on the ReySon facebook page for the entire month of November. Prostate cancer is one “like” away from a cure! In the meantime, enjoy this snippy interview and a fresh Dirty South remix of Nero’s, Me and You! Happy MOvember folks! For week one pix of my MOstache, check the FB page…

First off, Dan & Joe, thank you for spending a brief moment with Salacious, we truly do appreciate your time. I realize you slash through dozens of interviews a week, which must drain you, so i will keep this brief.
So guys, your “Welcome Reality” album has been floating among the masses for some time now, have you been receiving the response you had hoped for regarding the album? In addition, how have you two been keeping yourselves busy since the release? Any rest & relaxation? Nero
Thanks for having us! Yeah the album has had a great response, everything we hoped for. People have been really getting into it as an album rather than just getting into a few of the songs. It’s pretty much a concept album with a lot of the tracks segueing, so we really payed a lot of attention to making the whole album feel like one big extended piece of music split into different tracks. It’s great that people have embraced that. ReySon
Not too long ago, you pushed boundaries by teaming up with BBC’s Philharmonic orchestra to produce the very beautiful and intricate “Dubstep Symphony”. Now, looking forward, what is next? How will you be pushing those proverbial boundaries? Nero
That was an amazing opportunity for us, we weren’t very keen on it being dubbed “dubstep symphony” as it wasn’t at all dubstep, we wanted to just blend electronic sounds with orchestral composition that contained recognizable motifs and melodies from a few of our album tracks. We’d love to do more projects like that. I think doing the symphony proved to ourselves that we would be able to do film score work, which is something we definitely want to do. The album was set in a very futuristic techno world so it would be great to score a film in that vein. ReySon
Looking at your Facebook page, it seems you recently surpassed a fan base of 600k. Firstly, congratulations! Second, how does it feel to have strength in numbers of that magnitude? Think back, at one time, you started with only one fan, that has to hit the heart in some way sometimes. Nero
It’s crazy how everything has progressed over the last year or so, I think 2/3 years ago we never would’ve thought that we’d have the kind of fan base we have. It’s all been very exhilarating. ReySon
When one talks about gigging, there comes to mind substantial air travel, how do you boys cope with it? Do you produce, catch up on sleep, do crossword puzzles, or perhaps flirt with the flight attendants? haha. Nero
We usually just hop into our matter transference beams so travelling vast distances across space and time is pretty much instantaneous. ReySon
In terms of electronic dance artists, who do you have your keen eye on at the moment? Who do you think perhaps deserves a tad bit more lime light? Nero
There’s lots of great up and coming electronic acts out there at the moment. Right now we’re most looking forward to the forthcoming albums from Kavinsky and Danger. Both albums are long overdue and we can’t wait to hear them. ReySon
My final question is an informal curiosity question. Toronto, Canada has a new adrenaline adventure attraction…its called EdgeWalk. Here’s the link: www.edgewalkcntower.ca . Essentially, your harnessed in, you venture 1400ft up the CN Tower, and you walk on the outside of the tower. My question to you, are you afraid of heights, and would you do it? If the answer is yes, perhaps the next time your in our neck of the woods, we should get you boys up, up and outside, haha. Nero
No, that sounds wretched. ReySon
Dan & Joe, thanks for your time! Nero
Cheers mate, lets do this again.
