Spring Awakening Music Festival is returning to Chicago on June 9 to 11 to bring together the best names in the game for an action packed weekend. To no surprise, Chicago’s premier electronic music event will be hosting world renowned artists across two main stages and two rotating branded stages, and not to mention the Silent Disco and the recently announced Corona Electric Beach Oasis. That’s six different stages to enjoy your favorites artists and a world of opportunity!
This year the two main stages are appropriately dubbed Solstice and Equinox. At the Solstice stage, folks will be in the presence of EDM holiness where big names like Armin Van Buuren, Alesso, Axwell^Ingrosso, and Diplo will be hitting the decks. Over at the Equinox stage, more of EDM’s most populars artists, such as Galantis, Excision, and GRiZ, will be playing all weekend.
This year’s branded stages really set Spring Awakening Music Festival apart as an electronic music event. Each stage is carefully curated with a distinct lineup, so fans are able to escape the main stages and choose to have a unique experience in different atmospheres. On Friday, the famed Benny Benassi will be headlining the Dancing Astronaut stage, while the forefather of tropical house Thomas Jack closes out the Body Language stage. On Saturday, one of the biggest names in indie dance RÜFÜS DU SOL will be the special guest headliner for the Anjunadeep stage, while Grammy Award-Winning Paul van Dyk leads the pack in the Trance Arena. To close out the weekend, Snails and the biggest names in bass will takeover the Bass Kitchen, and for those of you yearning for that classic house sound, the U.K.’s esteemed duo Gorgon City will be closing out the Sunday School stage.
As usual, SAMF’s Silent Disco will showcase the up and coming artists of the Midwest where festival attendees can dance nonstop inside of a repurposed bumper car arena. If you need a little taste of the beach, swing by the Corona Electric Beach Oasis where local artists, as well as, some of the weekend’s most anticipated artists are confirmed to perform (see below).
Needless to say, Spring Awakening doesn’t f*ck around when it comes to its lineup. If I were you, I’d go grab a ticket right now and start planning who you’re going to see and which branded stage you’re gonna check out because there’s way too many to choose from.
