LA’s Bloodboy continues to buzz steadily in the current music landscape, this time with an indie-pop anthem called “Keep Your Disease.” The track radiates alternative radio stardom, appealing to fans of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Florence & the Machine, and Regina Spektor.
“The song is from the perspective of this sort of omnipotent, subliminal figure on a megaphone projecting these deeply rooted societal constructs,” the 25 year old told Consequence of Sound, “and the ‘disease’ that is referenced is actually your true inner desires. It’s kind of a call to action, a ‘Wake the fuck up, do you even know yourself at all?’”
Keep an eye out for Bloodboy’s debut EP, coming this fall.
