“A few months ago, we were really hungover and stumbled upon a Netflix documentary about the life of  Nina Simone called “What Happened, Miss Simone?”. This woman is a complete badass and the film inspired us to do our own take on her song “Sinnerman” which we turned into “Old Man”. Enjoy!”

Toronto duo Loud Luxury are back at it with their take on Nina Simone’s 1965 hit! Keeping to Nina’s flair as a pianist, the track makes heavy use of rich piano chords, mixed in with a funk-infused, deep bassline. It’s also intriguing as to how Nina’s voice is chilling in the background, rather than up front and center – almost like she’s with the song, in spirit.
