When used correctly the saxophone is one of the best sound instruments of them all. Whether its the old school jazziness it evokes or today’s tropical house scene which has again brought the instrument to house music prominence, the saxophone’s versatility just can’t be understated. Francis Mercier and fellow Deep Root Records cohort Dean Mickoski’s latest single “Out of My Mind” may feature many of the common elements associated with Francis’ music but the star of the record is definitely the saxophone which highlights Tamara’s soulful’ vocals.
