Oh my lawd. Darren Vincent Smith, a.k.a. Pretty Lights, has done it once again. A Color Map of the Sun, his latest full length album in 4 years, is simply fantastic. As usual, all his samples are recorded by himself, pressed to vinyl, and then sampled to forge his unique, gorgeous sound. According to Darren, this album is, “a map of my mind and my self.” This collection of songs can only be described as a listening experience, so open your ear holes and take it for a spin.
