Remixing a singer like John Newman, who has such a strong, definitive voice, is no doubt a tricky affair. On the one hand, you undoubtedly have a lot to work with… but on the other hand, if you layer too many elements on the vocal track you lose the essence of the original and die-hard fans cry for blood. Luckily for us, Montreal-based duo Love Thy Brother, made up of Conor and Liam Clarke, find the perfect balance in their remix of Love Me Again. Gone are the jazzy chords, replaced instead with progressive builds and a disco flair. It’s a beautiful thing.
