The Santa Barbara-based progressive dubstep phenom Seven Lions was recently snatched up by Skrillex’s prestigious OWLSA imprint; a move that was seemingly inevitable. I knew this kid was going to be big after hearing his Polarize EP earlier this year. He has a real knack for balancing fanciful, dream-like melodies with dynamic bass-wobble and compelling dubstep pomp. That OWLSA would be interested in such an artist is really a no-brainer. Seven Lions is a key addition to the label’s already stellar lineup and quite possibly, the heir to Skrillex’s EDM throne. This Tuesday will see Seven Lions release the ‘Days to Come’ EP, inaugurating him into the OWSLA family.
