Close to 10,000 participants attended each day of Ottawa’s Escapade Music Festival last weekend on the east-side of town. The somewhat dated baseball stadium was transformed into a venue for 40+ DJs whose music carried all the way to the nearby Queensway highway.
Travelling from the main stage to the secondary stage included a walk through stadium aisles and the centre of the structure, which provided some exercise for patrons.
Aviciiās performance was highly publicized in the local media, but the second day proved to be just as popular with sets from European DJs: R3hab, Thomas Gold, and Gareth Emery. Thousands of people decided they wanted to listen to electronic music instead of the free concert offered every year on Parliament Hill.
Here is a quick recap of our favourite photos from the festival.
