It’s been a good six days since Blu Mar Ten uploaded their new single ‘Problem Child / Sweet Little Supernova” to their Soundcloud and I would just like to ask one thing; where is all the hype? For a duo turned trio who has been churning out high-quality Drum & Bass dating back to 1998, they are deserving of a larger following. I don’t know, maybe it’s just because I don’t live in the UK or something but hey, we North American scum (yes, that is an LCD Soundsystem reference) like our Drum & Bass too! Don’t we? Anyways, I don’t know about you but I am psyched for this new Blu Mar Ten album! It is called ‘Love is the Devil’ and is set to be released in late October or early November and will include “Problem Child” and “Sweet Little Supernova”. After listening to those tracks and the earlier released single “Five Summers” I believe that ‘Love is the Devil’ could very well be Blu Mar Ten’s best work to date. They have never sounded as sleek as they do on “Problem Child” nor have they ever sounded as eerie and pulsing as “Sweet Little Supernova”. I guess you could say my expectations for this album are too high but seriously, it’s time to wake up people! Blu Mar Ten is the saviour of Drum & Bass! Tell your friends.
