Bimbo Jones’ remix of Christina Aguilera’s Keeps Getting Better has been a favorite of mine and DJ Cal? for a while now. Even with that in consideration, when I found a remix of the Crookers version of Day N’ Night, I was still skeptical. While I still prefer the Crookers version personally, mostly due to nostalgic associations with the amazing breakdown, this remix gives it a funky twist. For DJs who are interested in a little bit less fidgety Electro and a more melodic version, this song is a great fit. In other words, this version is better suited to be played alongside Pjanoo or Cafe del Mar. I have included my favorite versions of the aforementioned tracks as well as another lesser known remix of Day N’ Night.
