Coming almost out of nowhere, Tighe Phillips’ (aka. Scary Animal’s) 3-week old SoundCloud is stuffed with 14 tracks that expertly create an atmosphere better than any other producer I’ve come across this year. Phillips likes to remain detached from any genre labels, but these productions certainly identify with certain elements of new wave trap. In a word: sinister.
