Jeremy Glenn’s beacon has moved closer and closer to the center of my radar over the last few months. Mysterious Lover is his latest single slated for release on May 18th on YYZ Records. With 4 remixes of the deep catchy original, the title track is bound to cross boundaries. I can’t put my finger on it, but the bassline at the beginning reminds me of a an old tune. It is driving me insane, but I must call it quits on my search for the name of this tune and get on with the post hoping that one of our readers will help me out. All of the remixes and edits are tight and take the original in a new direction without straying too far away from the aesthetic manufactured by Glenn. The DVAS remix is an easy sell that pushes the original under the disco-ball. Modern Artifacts remix is the most interesting to me personally I love the drums in this track.
Glenn has been busy of late opening for Aeroplane at Digital Future and playing Montreal with Dam-Funk. He will be starting a new monthly party on May 15th at Motel.
