One of the best shows I have seen in recent memory has to be Buraka Som Sistema at the El Mocambo yesterday. They couldn’t have picked a better venue to bring this unique group to. Towards the end of their show they made everyone get down to the ground before they played the track and everyone poped up and went nuts. Hanging out with them and Sega after the show was ill, and I quickly came to realize that they are just a fun crew of people providing the perfect background music to keep the world moving. The variety of elements in their musical style makes them accessible to individuals with a diverse set of musical tastes.
