Alright, I posted about Animal Collective a while back. I said it was alright but not amazing. Why is it that this group is still number one on Hypem and Elbows? I have a few hypotheses but the one which keeps me feeling uneasy is that perhaps it is just due to bloggers trying to put up what is already tops on the aggregators to get more traffic. Yes this post will do that to a certain extent, and I understand the slight hypocrisy in this, but please tell me ARE THESE GUYS REALLY THAT GREAT OR IS IT JUST A FLAW IN THE MACHINE.

SO with all of that in mind, let me shed some more light on a group that is getting it but deserves a little more love. This group has been featured here in the past, I posted some of these songs in the BBC remix post. Empire of the Sun is the real deal, awesome music to chill too, remixes to bounce to, and I feel like they need to take over this year. Maybe MGMT pt II? Hope you love it, hope you hype it up and lets get Animal Collective out of that number 1 spot!
