Usually when my editor forces me to hop on Submithub I’m faced with a barrage of subpar music, but once in awhile you’ll stumble upon a real jam like this debut single by Russian duo Boneage. “Drown in the Summer” is a wonderfully composed indie-pop single. Production is slick with a great balance of modern electro spunk and fat retro 80s synths, but its singer Daniella Dubinskaya who absolutely steals the show.
