I’m not gonna mince words. I hate about 95% of all hip-hop/EDM crossovers. Tropical house hip hop phase? Was never a fan. MALAA and his hip hop? Eh. I recently came across this g-house remix of one of my all-time favourite songs by my all-time favourite artist so I couldn’t wait to see how badly it had been butchered, but surprisingly Andie Roy holds his own here and gives us a good remix. This hard-hitting bass house remix gives Nas’ lyrical assault some backbone courtesy of some heavy bass, instrumental samples, and cool pitched vocals.
