The new single from Colorado-bred bass producer Paper Diamond’s forthcoming “Paragon” EP sees him abandoning the trap/moombah/dubstep sounds of last year’s Wavesight EP for a streamlined but club-friendly house aesthetic. With help from twin brothers Christian Rich (whose production credits include tracks for Earl Sweatshirt, Clipse, Lupe Fiasco & Armand Van Helden) and vocalist Angela McCluskey of French ‘loungetronica’ trio Télépopmusik fame, Paper Diamond is able to spread his wings, displaying his more moody, sensitive side.
The “Paragon” EP is out April 16. Download the first single as well as “XIX” in exchange for ‘liking’ Paper Diamond‘s Facebook page. P.S. In case you missed it the first time around, I recommend checking out DJ Cal’s Paper Diamond Interview.
