As EDM continues to grow many of us have begun to take it too seriously. Genres divided by subgenres, artists leaving genres they helped to create (ie. Benga “leaving” Dubstep) etc. et. Although I’m excited to say that EDM as a whole is bigger, better and broader than ever, sometimes one needs an escape. I’ve recently begun to find solace in the blissful ignorance of artists like Gucci Mane, Juicy J and Waka.
