Recently, the folks at Art(202) TV, which showcases the diverse talents of the Washington D.C’s art scene, tasked Tabi Bonney and QN5’s very own Grammy-nominated producer/emcee/singer, Kokayi, with creating a song and performing it IN ONE DAY. With Tabi on the rhymes, Koke providing the hook & production, along with a vocal assist from funky soul singer and frequent collaborator, Alison Carney, the song, “Higher Stars” was born.
Shot by director Chris Keener, the video follows the full creation of the song, from it’s inception, to the recording, to it’s first live performance that very night. Hell, even the graf mural was done in a day. If that’s possible, imagine how long it would take to get rid of ‘The Real Housewives’ series if we all worked together.
Artwork, tracklisting & release details for Kokayi’s forthcoming QN5-album Robots & Dinosaurs will be revealed in the coming week.
Enjoy!
