I like to maintain that there’s a difference between remixing a classing and heavily-sampling it. In the former, the integrity and progression of the original maintain intact, while the latter results in a more intricate weaving of old and new sounds. It’s a subtle difference that I’m sure a lot of people will argue with me on, but you know what? Fuck it.

Get More’s Voodoo Child is an homage to the classic of the same name by Jimi Hendrix and twists that catchy riff into an impressive 110BPM ghetto-funk tune. It’s hard not to crack a smile when I listen to this.
