So what exactly has Munchi been doing lately? He’s certainly slipped off the moombahton radar, but a visit to his SoundCloud will show you that this cat has been doing anything but slacking. Diversifying both his personal and Rotterdam trap styles, his latest works are increasingly urban and cultural. What I find amazing about these is that unlike many other culturally-derived tracks that I come across, I don’t need years of exposure to the style in order to appreciate them. Maybe it’s just me, but when I listen to a heavily Latin- or French-inspired track I just feel… wrong. What the fuck do I know about those styles, anyway. I think this is Munchi’s personality shining through and making all of these tracks incredibly accessible to a wide audience of listeners.
