Fuck Me I’m Famous

In Ibiza, Spain there is a world famous night club named Pacha, which has succeeded in both bringing in or raising to fame the best talent in the DJ business. The first of the brand opened in the Catalonian capital of Barcelona in 1967, and the now headquarters in Ibiza Town opened in 1973. It has been hugely successful in franchising itself in a number of cities as both super high end clubs and hotels.
A few years ago I had a chance to visit Pacha to see David Guetta – a relative unknown to North Americans at the time – open for Bob Sinclar who had just released his hit single World, Hold On. Bob Sinclar was like a North American mega-pop-star that summer everywhere I went in Europe, from Malta to Scotland. The Fuck Me I’m Famous albums are basically, at least to me, emblemic of the scene surrounding Pacha and the broader European house scene. These tracks are from Volume 2, my favorite. They’re expensive, or at least they were when I picked up my copies, but very enjoyable.
