Fuck Me I’m Famous

In Ibiza, Spain there is a world famous night club named Pacha, which has succeeded in both bringing in or raising to fame the best talent in the DJ business. Â The first of the brand opened in the Catalonian capital of Barcelona in 1967, and the now headquarters in Ibiza Town opened in 1973. Â It has been hugely successful in franchising itself in a number of cities as both super high end clubs and hotels.
A few years ago I had a chance to visit Pacha to see David Guetta – a relative unknown to North Americans at the time – open for Bob Sinclar who had just released his hit single World, Hold On. Â Bob Sinclar was like a North American mega-pop-star that summer everywhere I went in Europe, from Malta to Scotland. Â The Fuck Me I’m Famous albums are basically, at least to me, emblemic of the scene surrounding Pacha and the broader European house scene. Â These tracks are from Volume 2, my favorite. Â They’re expensive, or at least they were when I picked up my copies, but very enjoyable.
