Metronomy just released the music video for their latest single, I’m Aquarius, through The Creators Project. The Creators Project, founded by the partnership between Intel and VICE, “celebrates visionary artists across multiple disciplines who are using technology in innovative ways to push the boundaries of creative expression.”

The video for I’m Aquarius was made by French director Edouard Salier, who has worked on videos for Air, Massive Attack and Justice, to name a few. The video features Metronomy frontman, Joseph Mount, on a space voyage to a planet inhabited by beautiful women and huge, hairless cats. The perfect formula. In all honesty though, the video is beautifully and creatively shot with a fiery colour palette that I really like. It pays homage to science fiction movies from the 60s and 70s, using “hand-made props, painted backgrounds, and even miniaturized spaceship models.” If you want to learn more about how the music video was made, you can watch behind-the-scenes footage and read about it here.
