Tuesday’s Top Ten Tracks: La Roux Breaks in to Our Charts Big

la-roux

If one thing is certain, it’s that disco is going to be big this summer.  Glad people liked the Chicane Anthology – I’ll get to posting another DJ River mix this week as promised, and this time I’ll post one with a bit more diversity.  With regards to the comments about choosing one artist for a mix – I think it’s more difficult than people are given credit for – especially across releases, an artists’ sound can vary a lot.  Beside that point, the tracks on the mix are just plain awesome.  I have done a lot of disambiguation research on Chicane and other related artists since listening to that mix years ago.  The only track I have not been able to locate is one labelled “Nagasaki Badger” – if you know what I’m talking and can help me out get at me, and I’ll hook you up a free t-shirt or something.

Highlights on the top 10 this week for me are the La Roux tracks, and John Roman’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs remix!

Here’s the list!
