My roommate pulled this 2008 oldie out a few weeks back, and I just had to revisit all of the Twelves’ mixes. As far as they go, this is definitely my favorite, if only by a margin. The lot of them are so good (The Twelfth Hour, 30 Minutes of Twelves) its hard to even classify them as DJ mixes, especially because of the number of their own tracks in them – to me, they’re much more akin to a hip-hop mixtape.

The track selection on Episode II is impeccable. Their own remixes, especially the Radiohead – Reckoner remix are top notch, and really purvey the synthy-disco-house feel of the Twelves.
