DANGER’s production has been very tight and tonight they will be in London Ontario of all places. I’ve mentioned Dirty Disko @ Up on Carling before and this night is GUARANTEED to be rammed. They have been pushing this product so hard over the past week that its bound to sell out, not to mention the product is awesome in itself. I wasn’t that familiar with Danger until Cody, part of the Dirty Diko fam, told me he was coming to London, but I must say that the tracks I’ve heard have all been fire and in some cases they were tracks that I had loved but not known the name of. This night certainly Sounds Salacious to me and though I won’t be able to make it out to the West end of the province for this one, that doesn’t me you shouldn’t!

It’s not everyday you get to see MSTRKRFT in a small venue in London. This year, Up On Carling has played host to some of the world’s biggest DJs. Both international sensations (LA Riots, Felix Cartal, DJ Mehdi, and more) and homegrown Toronto talent (St. Mandrew, AutoErotique, More Proof, Crystal Castles and others) have filled the venue with pounding bass that has moved rowdy audiences.

Just so everyone is clear, I am talking about London Ontario. This city’s nightlife centers around students at Western and Fanshawe and, until recently, was just like any other University centric party environment. It took a group nightlife visionaries who named themselves Dirty Disko to change this status quo. They have quickly become one of the most reputable young promotions companies on the scene. Over Christmas they killed it in Toronto with a party @ The Social headlined by Felix Cartal. For the rest of the school year they will continue to bring big acts to London (there are rumors about a pair of masked Italian) until they come downtown T.O for the summer months.

The show started off with Dirty Disko regulars Golden Gloves who have been killing it all over the map. They got started in London and have been doing their thing out there for a while, recently they have made moves toward bigger and better things. They spun alongside Kid Cudi over the Christmas holidays, performed at CiRCA last night, and have upcoming gigs in Montreal. East York’s own St. Mandrew dropped dirty tracks back to back to back and got everyone ready for the main show. When JFK and Al-P took the stage they did everything but burn the place down. It was impossible to move in front of the stage, everyone else was crowded around the sides of the stage trying to get on, St Mandrew was the first to dive over the crowd and was followed by JFK. They pumped their usual blend of Electro featuring everything from Fake Blood to Pop remixes like Green Light, threw in an epic drop of Bohemian Rhapsody and then ended gracefully with the theme from Cheers.
