Monarch very helpfully posted some stuff we’ve neglected to post over the last couple months, and reposted some older favourites from the last year, and it makes my job this week a lot easier. Â Specifically, the Basement Jaxx/Sam Sparro stuff is way up on my list right now. Â I was remarking last night that Basement Jaxx and Sam Sparro are different, in terms of electronic artists, for some reason. Â I will have to consider it some more, but I think it’s because both make music with an album focus, whereas most of the other my other favourite artists release stuff almost solely as EPs. Â I still absolutely love Sam Sparro’s album from last year, and Basement Jaxx’s Scars is right up there with it.

I’m very happy to be writing another installment of the Tuesday Top Ten Tracks. Â I’ve taken a long hiatus from what is our most popular content item on Salacious Sound, and a lot of great music has come out in the mean time. Â A few of the tracks on the second most recent Top Ten are still in my playlist and deserve mention here. Â La Roux, for example, has incredible replayability in my books. Â I’m also still very fond of the Lifelike track and the Caspa remix of Deadmau5′ I Remember. Â I hope you guys will agree with me when I say these songs are this week’s top ten tracks.

Emma Lee Remix Competition Winner Anounced – No Big Deal

Its No Big Deal who won the remix competition. By that I mean, it is a HUGE deal, but the remixers that were fortunate enough to take the cake are, in fact, called No Big Deal. With a big kick and some pulsating synths the remix bolsters the original to take Emma to the dancefloor. Here is the official version that will be released!
