For the past couple of years, Swiss-based DJ/producer Maurizio Colella, better known as EDX, has continued to grow as an artist in both talent and accolades. Last year, fans went wild over his remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love,” and he entered the new year as the #1 top charting artist on Beatport of 2015. Complete with a successful No Xcuses vs. Enormous Tunes Bus Tour and two EMPO awards for Best Indie Dance/Nu Disco Artist and Best Remix of the Year, it seems that EDX is setting himself for yet another impressive year.

Released earlier this week, EDX’s newest addition to his remix repertoire comes in the form of another ‘Ibiza Sunrise’ remix for his 2008 rendition of Dubfire’s “Roadkill.” His earlier rework was a dominant track in the Ibizan isle that year, and was continuously praised by many of the world’s leading DJs. Now, just in time for his 10-week residency at Privilege Ibiza this summer, EDX revisits the track with a new and seductive deep house touch.

“In 2007, Dubfire released his debut minimal techno record, ‘Roadkill’ and it’s a significant song in my career as I released a remix of it in 2008 that took over Ibiza and saw a ton of DJ support from Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, and Swedish House Mafia, to name a few. The song still brings back many good memories from that exciting era, so I decided to revitalize it with a fresh version that features my deeper, sexier style, about 10 years since its release. With the recent announcement of my Privilege Ibiza residency this summer, this new ‘Roadkill’ version couldn’t have come at a better time, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it on the dance floor.” – EDX
