Possibly the first Canadian artist to really break into Hip Hop’s mainstream culture on such a large scale without ever having released an album. Drake is Diddy for the 21st Century. As he continues to become more and more ubiquitous in every rappers video from Cudi to Weezy, we should all expect his forthecoming album to skyrocket to the top of popular music charts. This young Canadian cat is leading a movement that I feel is bringing mainstream Hip Hop back for those who ran away from the rise of the south. Artists like him and Kid Cudi have made me open my ears again. Here is a remix by Nosaj Thing that provides a much more interesting back track that compliments Drakes flow, feel and fervor.
