A while ago I was listening to a couple of Miami Horror remixes that I eventually posted and one truly stood out. My favorite mix of Make you Mine was a remix by an artist I didn’t know much about, Cassian. Considering that the original ‘Make You Mine’ is one of my favorite Miami Horror tracks not to mention that there was a remix by Fred Falke, the fact that Cassian’s Remix ended up on top is no small feat. I looked finding out more about this artist whose sound seemed to natural appeal to my Disco sensitive ears.
When I received an email about this Cassian Minimix to my Blackberry I couldn’t wait to get home and check the goodies. The mix is exactly what I had hoped for, an upbeat mix from down under with disco flavor and funky heat. The remix of Damn Arms’ ‘Destination’ is the kind of music I would model my hypothetical DJ Sets after. The Minimix does it every-way that I want it to, time after time.
