A great number of the regulars of this blog, particularly the industry folk, know the name Mike Gonek.  For those of you who don’t, he’s the mind behind the decks and beats of the Weekend Warriors, a group poised to take over more than just the screaming teenage girls that count themselves fans of Brendan Beamish and his DEEEEP Vs (1 of 2 Warriors’ singers), or Jermain Hamilton’s catchy rhyming.  Many of us have seen Gonek and his partners working incredibly hard over the last four years, so a few of his recent successes have really made me smile.

Just a couple days ago the Weekend Warriors’ track Take Me to LA was featured on MTV’s ‘The Hills’; a big win for the guys!! Congrats!  You can check that out here, clip #4, 1:25 in http://www.mtv.ca/tvshows/the-hills/video_content.jhtml?id=1612961
