The verdis remix is pritty sick. Hooks definetly killed it tho. Big ups to everyone who mixed it up.
these votes are mad outta wack, funky fresh is a joke and verdis did good and hooks obviously shows whats best
akillah, we just wanted to try something different by adding some hip hop & pop elements into it. thanks for your input though. btw, it’s “punky fresh”. the verdis remix is dirty and i fucking love that, i dig the hooks remix too, they’re both great examples of what electronic music is and i’d probably add them to our dj sets. but it’s good to know we have plenty of supporters. our remix may not be your style, but i’ll personally admit that i tried to make it more song oriented (ABABCA) to help introduce listeners into electronic music. per haps you’ll enjoy it after a few listens.

Hooks…Hooks….Hooks….once again we see another work of art from the king of VERSATILITY. If HOOKS keeps on pumping out these bangers, expect big things from this boy in the near future.
and by the way….the Punk Fresh Remix is just butchered.

i love punky fresh!!! they’re great guys and they put on an amazing live set. but really, a voting virus? just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean others don’t…
Props to all the remixers. All of you did awesome jobs. No reason to dog on any of the versions of the remix– if you didn’t like it, so be it, but all of them did a good job. Hooks made an awesome re-mix. Also the verdis remix is sweeeet. I’m also a fan of the easily accessible style of the Punky Fresh. All of them had their own pluses and I commend you all for your work.
I’ll echo jeff — props to all the remixers. There are some really different and diverse styles and while I have my own preferences (fucking LOVE the hook remix), let’s all just keep it in the spirit of making sick music and bigging up the TO scene.

found Punky Fresh from the band Far’s Twitter site this morning and i visited their myspace and found this post. I think the remix by them is sick. the lyrics are aewsome and makes me want to jump.
yeah punky fresh is definitely more of a cross over techno music. iz cool
Hmmmmm…. I find that these voting contests generally have one posse trying to outshout the other posse, thus most comments pro / con to be tossed. As the guy who signed Plushgun and commissioned remixes by Don Diablo, Andrew W.K., Justin Strauss, Jesse Novak and others…I’m not sure I hear any Plushgun at all in the Hooks remix. Did find Verdis and Valer interesting. I did think the Punky Fresh to be something that might move the dance floor. But I think the voting was the Hooks camp with a belated defense by the Punky camp.
eh just wanted to say thanks to all those that voted in this. reespek. verdis big up! i woulda voted for yours if i didnt vote for myself. M dub its cool if you dont like my remix but i dont know how you cant hear any plushgun in it, maybe take another listen. anyways hope you guys have more of these contests. peace
